Jumping!!

Ever since Polly introduced Leyton to jumping on the bed he is obsessed. He doesn't really have the whole jumping thing down yet....but someday his feet will actually leave the ground.

Christmas is it really over allready!

I can't believe that Christmas is already over it seems like it just began. Time flies doesn't it? This year we went up to Washington for a few days to visit all of Kyle's family. All the kids put on a nativity scene, we had a nice dinner, then Santa dropped by and we opened presents. We of course forgot to bring a camera so if I get some pictures sent to me I'll have to post them. Leyton was so cute I didn't think that he would want to be up with all the kids while they were doing the nativity (last time we were around all of them he wouldn't leave my side he was so terrified. There are 22 of us when we all get together so its a little loud and overwhelming.) But there was a little stage that he thought was the funnest thing to climb on while the nativity was going on. He would climb up on stage and wave to me...it was so cute!

We came home on Christmas Eve to a snowy.. ..snowy drive form the airport. Luckly its a short drive. With no food in the house we thought be better grab something for dinner on the way home...ok so I've never really tried to eat out on Christmas Eve before....nothing is open not even wal-mart. So we found the only thing close to home that was open (good old Dave Thomas) and ended up eating Wendys on Christmas Eve. Better planning next year:)

I got a new camera this year! Yeah my old one took so long to take the next picture. You could never get a good shot and I couldn't get very close up. So these are a few shots of Leyton in the tub with my new camera....I love it! But I'm sure it will take me a while to learn how to really use it.

Bounce!!

Today Paige & I took Leyton & Polly to this place in Sandy. They love to bounce!! Leyton is so funny though he really doesn't know how to jump yet, so he flaps his arms like he is trying to fly away. Polly can actually jump its cute. There were all these big slides they could go down and ones for little kids only that they could jump on. Since I had to help Leyton climb to the top I got to slide down as well. I actually thought it was pretty fun! and a great workout! I think I'll have to go back sometime.
I also became employed today :) Just a little job at the condos cleaning and such. Its a job though and will help pay for all the times I eat out. That is one thing that I really enjoy is eating out. Not fast food! I love to be waited on :) So if any one ever needs company for lunch let me know. Oh and while I got myself a job I think I accidentally nominated myself to be on our HOA Board. I wasn't planning on that opps! Not really my thing but I suppose I'll try it out.

Christmas Tag!!

I don't usually don't do these but I thought this one was fun for the Holidays!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? I am like Paige and only like wrapping paper when the gift is a perfect shaped box that is easy to wrap...so odd shapes need to be in bags!

2. Tree- Real or Artificial? I like the fake ones because you can get a perfect looking tree. Sometimes real ones can be odd shaped and there harder to hang ornaments & lights on.

3. When do you put up your tree? Dec 1st!

4. When do you take down your tree? January 2nd or so!

5. Like Eggnog? No way its so grouse. Kyle loves it and always trys to get me to drink it.

6. Do you have a Nativity Scene? Not yet the one I want is a little expensive.

7. Favorite gift received as a child? I remember one year my mom ordered these newborn babies and they looked real, but they didn't come until after Christmas. Well worth it we loved them.

8. Hardest person to buy for? Now that I'm older I think Parents are the hardest. In-laws especially.

9. Easiest person to buy for? Defiantly Leyton :)

10. Worst Christmas gift recieved? Humm..thats a hard one I'll have to come back.

11. Mail or email Christmas cards? I like good old fashioned mail.

12. Favorite Christmas movie? Christmas Vacation so funny & kyle knows it by heart is a must see every year.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? December I'm trying to get better but it seems like it just sneeks up on you.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas Gift? I don't think so..wedding yes, but not Christmas.

15. Favorite Food to eat on Christmas? I love ham with scalloped potatoes. However my in-law have tacos every year for Christmas. I think its weird tacos are an any day of the week food plus I have ground beef.

16. Clear or Colored lights? Clear or red & white.

17. Favorite Christmas song? I don't know theirs so many!! I love them all.

18. Travel during Christmas or stay home? Well since being married we have traveled every yr. however if I had a choice I would stay home.

19. Can you name all Santa's reindeer? Rudolf, Comet, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, I don't know!!

20. Angel or Star on top of the tree? Neither, I don't like anything on top of the tree, but growing up we always had a star on top.

21. Open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas? We would always open one gift on Christmas Eve. PJ's of course!

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Crowds! Everywhere...you can't avoid them.

16 months!

Wow I can't believe that my little boy is getting so big! He turns 16 months in about a week but sometimes already acts like he is in his terrible "2's". He throws fits now when he is in trouble. He will throw himself on the ground and bang his head...its pretty funny! Kyle and I just laugh at him. If your holding him and you put him down and he doesn't want down then he runs off crying. But he does a lot of cute things now too. He loves to kiss (especially Polly:) He will even make the sound mum ma!! Hugs his stuffed animals and pats there back while saying ohh. I think he picked this up from Polly. He blows kisses its really cute. He can say mama, dadda, baby, and no (while shaking his head). He can do the sign for more, milk and dadda. Were working on please & thank you. He is still a very picky eater and doesn't like to snack very often. I think the eating has a little to do with the fact that he has allergic reactions to some foods. Were not really sure yet what he is allergic to. Last weekend we went to the new Cheesecake Factory and Leyton actually tried a bite of my pizza (normally he won't even try things) any ways after about a minute he started coughing and threw up! Then broke out in little hives on his face so no more pizza. It just seems like it is flying by.

Taco Bell

So desperately I went to Taco Bell for lunch yesterday. Not my favorite but I was starving. So I pull up to the drive-thru window and the guy working asks me if I want a new Pepsi? Hum...I haven't gotten mine yet I just pulled up. Oh well he says I gave yours to the guy that just drove off in the car in front of you, so would you like a new one.....hum...I wanted so desperately to say no I'd like you to chase after him and get mine back. After all it was your mistake not mine. What a weird-o who does that...if I'm paying for one I better get one.

Update!

Just to update you all Leyton's x-rays were just fine, nothing wrong with them at all. Crazy Doctor!

I Hate Bugs!

Today was quite the fun eventful day. Leyton had his 15 month check up this morning at 10:30 and two hours later we were finally leaving the Dr.'s. He had to get a flu shot and his MMR that they messed up on last time. Then they drew some blood to run tests because he's in the 5% for his weight. The kid just doesn't eat enough and is so picky and allergic to milk products. I am at a loss as to how to get him to eat more. If any one has any suggestions please let me know. Then we had to go over and get an x-ray of his chest. What a trooper- he was so sad :( It was hard to watch him just constantly cry and get poked. Luckily Kyle was able to come with however at the time we didn't know he would be going through all of this today. They took x-ray's because for a while he has been breathing kind of weird. It usually is only in the morning and doesn't happen everyday, we thought that he might have asthma. The Dr is worried that maybe he chocked on something and it went into his lung. So just to be safe we did x-rays....so I'm a little nervous waiting for them to call. Then on the way home I had to go to the bank to see if I left my debit card in their ATM otherwise I needed to report it lost, but just like I thought I'm loosing my mind and left it in the ATM. Thank goodness!! Then while Leyton was eating dinner I thought I would put some stuff away in our storage unit outside on the balcony. The door was open for a minute or even less and all of a sudden this huge and I mean huge bug that looked like a misquito came flying in....eew gross!!! I hate bugs...so I grabbed the broom because its long enough so I don't have to get very close. I'm screaming, yes literaly screaming, while I'm trying to swat this huge thing with the broom... Leyton is just laughing and laughing at me but I was successful and knocked it to the ground and hit it until it was no longer moving eew!! Then to clean it up after I took this nice picture so you could understand how massive this thing was I used the vacuum so I could once again keep my distance. Then just to make sure it was dead and not flying out of the vacuum I continued to vacuum. I figured the more dirt that landed on it the better.

Marriage

Kyle & I are coming up on our 4 year anniversary this December. I and love that there are still things about him that I don't know. For instance (he just might kill me for mentioning these but they are funny things that I didn't know about him). The other day he was getting dressed and we were talking, he started putting his deodorant on & counting. I was like what are you doing?...(kyle) um putting deodorant on is that ok. Yes, but why are you counting? (kyle)Don't you count how many swipes you put on so that you get the same amount on each side. Um no! I just slap a little on. But he has to put on 10 swipes every time...so that night in bed I challenged him to just try putting 7 swipes on one side and 9 on the other. I have the feeling that those being odd numbers will scare him too much. There are a few other things that I learned about him that night that I think are a little ocd..but cute. He says that when he changes a poppy diaper (yes I'm very glad that he does his fair share) any way he makes a game out of it by trying to see how he can possibly clean all the poop up with one whipe. He is also very neat at it by folding the whip very strategic. Me, I am a complete mess and use about have of the whipes if its a really bad one. :) He will also make it a game when he leaves school. He'll make a guess as to how many steps it will take him to reach his car...but he also told me that he will sometimes cheat when he gets close by taking baby steps or giant steps. Its funny how much you think you really know some one and then you find out something new about that person. I guess 4 years really isn't that long so I'm excited to see what else I will learn about him since we have an eternity.

Missing....

Today while running my errands this shoe went missing.... I have no idea where or even when it went missing but at my last stop I look down at Leyton and saw just a sock..we retraced our steps in that store and with no luck just hoped that it was in the car. However I could not seem to find it anywhere in the car. I just wish Leyton was old enough to say something at the time like "hey mom my shoe it fell off back there.." wouldn't that be nice....however I'm sure that it did not just fall off, but was kicked off in a tantrum. It was one of my favorite pairs of shoes that he has, ok so he only has two pairs...well now one in a half. So if anyone needs just a shoe I have one that you can have:) Its cute size 4!

SO CUTE BUT SUCH A HANDFULL

This little guy is soooo cute but such a handfull. He is into everything and I mean everything. His new favorite thing is to climb into the cupboards after he pulls everything out. :) Its pretty cute at the time but not when I realize that I have to clean it all up so that tomorrow he can do it all over again.
Last night Paige & I had our Tick Tock party. We made clocks. These are the two I made I just need to decide which one I want. I'm pretty impressed they turned out much better than I had anticipated. Any ways I had Leyton with me because our stake had a fireside for the youth & Kyle had to work till 10pm. So I could not come up with a babysitter. So I thought maybe he'll play in the other room and not bother me to much. However half the time I ended up holding him in one arm and painting with the other hand. I suppose he could have been worse. I have to thank Paige's aunt for playing with him & Paige for helping out. Thanks alot it was fun!

Happy Holidays!! Wow I can't believe that the holidays are already here. I was going to try to get a head start on my holiday shopping this year (I guess not any more). I have the hardest time shopping for my husband you would think that he would be the easiest cause I should know what he likes......he is so difficult. I think maybe because every year he totally surprises me and I can never think of anything to surprise him with. I know what he would really want (a dog) but we have a cat so unless any of you would like a cat thats not going to happen.
Well I hope everyone enjoys there Holiday Season it is one of my favorite times of the year.

Happy Halloween

We went to our ward Halloween Party on Saturday night. It was a chili cookoff. However we didn't participate it that one mostly because I don't even eat chili so why would I cook it? And we were an hour late because Kyle couldn't get off work on time :(
It was great to see everyone dressed up Kyle wouldn't decide on a costume so he ended up as Clark Kent at the last minute. I know I should have been Lois Lane but I wasn't sure I really wanted to claim him.. just kidding

Dreams!

I'm reading the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer they're really good. A little juvenile but I like them so far. I'm only on the second book. I was telling my friend Paige that for some reason I keep dreaming about the books. Its kind of weird.

What to do??

Ok so I haven't blogged in a while... I think I forgot how....just kidding! Does anyone have a good pedatricion they would recommend? I don't like mine and think that I should have switched a long time ago. Especially after they gave Leyton the wrong shot....how does that even happen. Instead of his mmr he got some shot that they give kids going into High School. I was called by the Dr. later that day informing me that they had given him the wrong shot and that it wouldn't effect him they would just give him the correct shot at his next visit. (they better hope it doesn't effect him) In the meantime I had a scare while at my sisters. Leyton has allergic reactions to milk or maybe just processed cheese (I don't know) & my Dr doesn't seem to think its a big deal...any ways so Leyton ate some of my nieces goldfish crackers and then started breathing weird kind of like he had croup (which he has had) so I called the Dr's office not sure if he was having an allergic reaction or what was going on. He seemed fine all day until after he had gotten ahold of the goldfish. So my Dr's office continues to tell me that I can bring him in at 2:50 that day and it was only noon. Ok so what if it is serious and he stops breathing in the meantime. Long story short I went to my sisters ped. who saw him right away and gave him an eppi shot. I still am not sure if that was the reason for his breathing cause he didn't have any other symptoms (hives/throwing up) bit it seemed to do the trick he was fine right after. Maybe I am just to paranoid I just don't know when its serious or not. Shouldn't my Dr. tell me what type of warning signs are serious or what I should look for. I am making Kyle come to his next visit but I really want a new Dr.

Dance Dance Baby Dance

Finally I caught it on video. I've been trying to get Leyton on video dancing cause aren't babies so funny when they dance. Who teaches them this any way? I certaintly don't go around the house dancing and I know for a fact the Kyle doesn't either. Maybe we should :)

We were coming home from the store today and Kyle & I were talking about Leyton and how the kid is constantly going and going....he never stops. Kyle thinks perhaps he is already showing early signs of A.D.D. We were wondering what he could possibably be thinking. Maybe something like this "ok here's my toy gotta play with it, oh wait heres a ball gotta throw it...theres the kitchen...oh oh cupboard gotta open it and get the pans out...oh oh wheres mom...ok there she is....oh there's the kitty gotta scream and chase him down the hall...ooh theres a bathroom....toilet paper fun!!" Any way you get the point he just keep going and going. He is definately our little energizer bunny. It has been so fun watching him develope and grow. I'm so lucky that I get to stay home with him. Sometimes I feel guilty that I get to watch him do so many cute things while Kyle is away at work. Kyle is great though it was never even a thought to him wether I would go back to work or not after Leyton was born. I am so blessed to have such a great husband.

Snack Time

Polly came over this morning to play. This is one of Leytons favorite things to do! It started with them throwing the snacks on the floor.

Dogs!

Ok so a couple of months ago I was bit by a dog in our condo complex. Just a little guy. I thought he was just coming up to smell me when he started barking at me and then attacking me. This was the worst bite he also bit the front of my leg, but it wasn't bad. Any ways the dog has a new home now because he bit a lot of people including my bishop. Any way ever since I feel like the biggest wuss cause any time a dog comes up to me I think its going to bite me and its always the little ones.

The Climbing Begins

He has figured out that he can climb. Oh no!! This basket is where I keep some of his toys so I guess deciding which toy to play with is best done while in the basket. That way you get a better view.

At the Park

Leyton at the park today. He loves to push this little car around and climb all over it. Paige & I put a play group together so once a week we go to the little park at the condos to play. The kids really love it and so do we. I'm sad that winter is coming so fast. I love to be able to just let Leyton play outside he seems to get boared if we just are at home inside all day. Hum I wonder where he get that....I absolutely hate it.

Harry Potter

I finally finished!! I bought this book back when it first came out. Months ago...and I just now finished reading it. I loved it! I guess I read about as fast as a 1st grader or perhaps even slower. I think I just like to drag it out so that it doesn't ever really end. It also didn't help that I have a one year old and was sick with mono the past few months so I slept alot instead of reading. Any way I thnk the Harry Potter books have such clever plots. I can't wait till Leyton is old enough so I can read them with him. Now I need a new book to read any suggestions?

So Funny!

So Leyton thinks he is so funny! Today I was changing his diaper and he thinks that it is the funniest thing to hurry and run away before you can get a new diaper on....as Im sure all 1 year olds do. So he runs to the back door and starts to pee! (of course) then he runs to the office where Kyle is trying to get some homework done. Kyle see's him naked and brings him back out to get a diaper on and by this time I'm trying to clean up the wet spot on the carpet. Leyton see's me scrubbing the floor and just starts to bust a gutt. I just know he was thinking to himself haha your cleaning up my mess!!

Bedtime

Getting ready for bed! Leyton loves to brush his own teeth. Hopefully he does an okay enough job. I love the robe and was supprised that he really left the hat on.

North Salt Lake??

Ok so does anyone know where on earth North Salt Lake is?? Saturday night (hold on..just for the record all of you that are laughing...my husband & I did not grow up in Utah) so were on our way to a wedding reception in North Salt Lake. I have the address in my hands Kyle is driving. Were heading down I-15 and Kyle says which exit do I get off at, opps to late it was that one we just passed. So we get of at the very next exit and just head to 300 E or something. Isn't all of Utah just a grid system...right. So we get to the corrdients on our address card and were in the middle of these weird buildings, no where on earth that a reception could possibly be. So we drive around thinking that were not quite in N. Salt Lake so we head up the hill and the road starts going into some mountain neighborhoods this can't be right. So we end up back on I-15 going back to the original exit because there are step by step directions. We get off the correct exit and then it says that the 1st light will be something like garden dr. and were supposed to turn right and go through a round-about. However that is not the case its some other street so we go a little further up and after about 2 hours of driving around Leyton has had it and the reception is over so we decide to call it a night and go get some dinner. So is North Salt Lake around that gross mountain by towards bountiful?? Well we will never know cause we gave up...hope she had a great wedding!

Post Office

So I did the dumbest thing today...I think if my head wasn't attached I would for sure loose it. I had to go to the post office to mail some packages to a friend. I didn't have the boxes taped up, I just figured they would have tape for me to use at the post office. So of course they do and I tape up my boxes get them all mailed off and head out to the car. Ok where are the keys, where are they...hum I can't seem to find them anywhere...where could they be? NO they couldn't possibably be in one of the packages....oh my gosh I think they are. Ok so do I call Kyle and see if he'll come get me, NO their's no way he'll let me get a away with mailing my keys to Alabama hoping my friend will mail them back. I can just hear him now "I don't care how embarassing it is get your butt back in there and get your keys!!!" So back in to the post office I go...um sir I think that I possibably taped my keys up in one of the packages I just sent...haha! Sure enough there they were. Possibably one of the most embarassing moments in my life.

Finally

Finally the day has come that I created a blog...I'm not much of a writer or a computer person but who wants to be left out?? Everyone seems to have a blog its the cool thing to do. So here I am!
