The Stitches

Here are the pictures of the actual stitches. So sad. I am really hoping that they don't scar bad. I took Leyton to the grocery store the day after and I think that a few little kids got scared by the sight. I heard one little boy (after looking and them with a terrified face) say to his mother that something was wrong with the baby's face. I suppose if you've never seen stitches before its a pretty scary sight. Needless to say I put a band aid on them the next time I went out.

Bag Tag!

Oaky so I finally got around to this bag tag! So the rules are you have to take a picture of your bag and all the stuff inside without cleaning it out first. Here are the contents of my bag. :) So if your reading this and haven't done this tag yet then you are now officially tagged. So basically everyone but Paige & Jen :)

A Day At the ER!

About 11:00 this morning I was doing the dishes and Kyle was getting ready for work. Leyton was chasing the cat around the house when all of a sudden he tripped and went straight into the corner of the bedroom door. Nine hours and ten stitches later he was enjoying a bath. After getting the blood to stop we ran him down to the IHC in Taylorsville they had a 3 hour wait so we ran up the the IHC on 90th where we were told to take him up to Childrens Primary. Thanks to the great cold and flu season we waited for over 2 1/2 hours in the waiting room. Lets just hope we didn't catch anything. We finally got in and they gave Leyton a sedative that was supposed to make him really calm and low key, but not put him totally out. Unfortunately it didn't seem to work on him. As they were trying to clean out and stitch him up he was screaming and kicking. Kyle and I were trying to help calm him down and hold him...however when the nurse was numbing the cut it started to open up and bleed a lot so I got a little woozy and had to sit down. Luckily Kyle was OK (so I thought). After a little while he started looking a little green. But by this time I was feeling better and was able to help while Kyle proceeded to throw up in the nearest trash can :(
Some how we made it through the day! Leyton has two stitches that are really deep and 8 on the outside. Poor little guy! I know that these things happen and I'm sure that it is only the start but I always feel like such a bad parent when he gets hurt bad.
Any ways I will have to post more pictures of the stitches. I didn't want to remove the band aid for fear that Leyton would notice it and pick at the stitches.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Well I hate to admit it but I just turned 29 last Wed. the 20th. WOW! I can't believe it. I think what is really weird to me is thinking that my parents have a kid that old and I'm the second youngest. The good thing is that I really don't feel older than 24. I say 24 because that's when I got married.
So I spent my birthday in St. George with my family. We went to the Parade of Homes and had a lot of fun! Its always nice to get away especially from the cold.

Sunday!!

Going to church!! I love getting Leyton dressed up for Church...just wait till I have a girl :) I found this tie at Childrens Place and couldn't resist. So here's what he looked like at church last week.
He's starting to go to nursery. This week I peeked in to check on him and he was passed out on the floor...with a blanket. It doesn't help that 1-4 church is right in the middle of nap time. Maybe next week he'll get to play with the kids. Kyle & I were in a BYU ward before so the only kids were toddlers and babies. Anyways there was this one little girl that would just wander around the chapel during sacrament. Everyone made fun of her and called her the wanderer!! I am worried that Leyton wants to be the wanderer...he hates to stay in the pue with us during sacrament. He just wants to wander around checking everyone out. I hope that he is not to distracting to everyone. I always thought that would never be my child...what do you do?
I also got released from my calling last week it was kind of sad. I loved working with the Young Wemon. However with a husband that works nights it was kind of hard lugging Leyton everywhere. Stake meetings were by far the worst. But it was well worth it. They are such great girls and great examples to me. I think that I have learned more from them, then them from me. Isn't that why the Lord calls us to certain callings ..to better ourselves and then others. I will look forward to working in the Young Wemons program again someday or where ever the Lord calls me too.

Warning!!

Warning do not take these pills late at night!!! Ok so Kyle and I are trying to get back in shape before summer. So tonight (yes, friday night) we went down to our clubhouse to run at 9:00 p.m. Kyle had me take one of these Lipodrene pills before we went, he kept telling me that I was gonna be up all night. I thought he was just kidding around (he takes these things all the time) I however think that there probably not good for you. Ok so its like 2 a.m. and I can not sleep. Don't worry though Kyle's in bed sawing logs right now and keep in mind that he took one at the same time as I did.
So if your ever thinking that you need to take one of these pills late at night don't do it unless your planning on being awake all night.

I think I'll go scrub the kitchen floor or something now :) I really feel like playing Dr. Mario on my nintendo 64 but that is in my room where he is sawing logs.

I realize that the time on this post says its only 1:09 a.m. but believe me its wrong its 2:09 a.m.

Cousin Kate

I went down to my sisters the other day so her and I could paint some Valentines decorations. One of my favorite things to do paint crafts:)

Leyton had a good time playing with his cousin Kate and was in love with her Barbie slugbug! It didn't bother him that its hot pink. Here are a few cute pictures of her little girl Kate. I'm still trying to figure out how to work my camera.

Toe Lint!!

Leyton's new found love!! Picking the lint out of his toes. It is so funny! He will stop whatever he is doing pull his socks off as fast as he can and sit there picking the lint out and with such concentration. I have also caught him putting varies objects (such as food) in between his toes:) Yum...

How nice of daddy to help!
